  3.5 stars. Very family oriented and cozy atmosphere. The staff was amazing and friendly. The food was good especially the fried chicken, coconut cream pie, and chocolate cake! It was a little pricey for a southern buffet but over all, we had a great experience.

  Unfortunately the 1 star review is for the incredibly inconsiderate and unprofessional behavior of the staff and owners of this establishment.
  
  My grandmother chose their restaurant to host her 90th birthday celebration. After much planning, with several out of town guests (some from out of country), we had planned to come to their Friday supper buffet. We even called days before and they graciously agreed to bake her a birthday cake and personalize it.
  
  Of course Mother Nature is not always cooperative and bad weather was forecasted for much later that night. We called at 2pm to ask if they would still be open and were assured that yes they would be open pending the weather. We arrived at 4pm to find the restaurant closed. The weather was not bad, there wasn't even rain at that point.
  
  Not only was the restaurant closed but we saw two employees sitting inside. We called to inquire as to what was going on since no one called to let us know that they would close (you would think with a room reservation and cake they would do so). The two employees did not answer the phone and instead escaped to the back, where they then exited and tried to drive off. Luckily one member of our party saw one of the individuals before they rudely sped off and was informed that the restaurant was closed due to the weather.
  
  Had we not seen that employee we wouldn't have even received the courtesy of knowing why the restaurant was closed.
  
  Luckily we were able to scramble and find another restaurant, but there was no cake, or privacy.
  
  I'm sure the food here is great, otherwise my grandmother wouldn't have selected it. However, their lack of common courtesy is extremely disappointing, a quick phone call could have saved a lot of trouble, bad weather or not.
